Everything OperatorOS Can Do for You Right Now (Plus What's Coming Next)
March 2026 · 10 min read
I built OperatorOS because I was tired of managing 13 stores with a patchwork of notebooks, spreadsheets, voice memos, and half-remembered commitments. What started as a personal tool has grown into something I'm genuinely proud of — and people keep asking me: "What exactly can it do?"
Fair question. We ship features every week, and things move fast. So here's the complete picture — every feature that's live today, what's in beta, and what's coming next.
AI-Powered Features (Pro)
These are the features that make OperatorOS different from a spreadsheet or a checklist app. They're the reason I built this — because retail leaders deserve the same AI leverage that office workers have had for years.
Daily Briefs
Every morning, OperatorOS looks across all your stores and generates a briefing — recommended actions, focus areas, concerns, and wins. It pulls from your visit history, open commitments, KPI trends, team health, and visit cadence. You get a clear picture of where to focus before you even leave the house.
Plan My Day
Tell OperatorOS how many stores you want to hit today, and it builds you a prioritized visit schedule with talking points for each stop and route optimization. It factors in overdue commitments, time since last visit, team health, and performance trends. No more sitting in the parking lot at 7 AM deciding where to go.
Pre-Visit Briefs
Before you walk into any store, OperatorOS generates a brief with an executive summary, suggested talking points, open commitments, recent visit history, and team context. You never walk in cold. Your store manager knows you're prepared, and it changes the tone of the entire visit.
Visit Recording & AI Summaries
Tap record, have your visit conversation naturally, and OperatorOS transcribes and summarizes everything — pulling out action items, commitments, key insights, and a complete summary. Audio stays on your device for privacy. Only the transcript goes to AI for analysis.
Interview Analysis
Record any interview and get AI-powered analysis in seconds: an overall rating, a hiring recommendation, question-by-question scores, candidate strengths and opportunities, and a complete summary. Add your own manager feedback on top — agree or disagree with the AI rating, adjust the score, and add notes. Custom interview guides let you build templates for any role.
Meeting Recording & Summaries
Record one-on-ones, team meetings, weekly calls, or training sessions. The AI adapts its analysis based on the meeting type — a 1:1 coaching session gets different treatment than a monthly business review. Every meeting gets a summary with action items automatically extracted.
Recap My Day & Period Review
At the end of the day, Recap My Day generates an AI summary across all your visits. Period Review gives you a broader lens — performance trends across stores over time. Both help you see patterns you'd miss looking at individual visits.
Core Features (Free)
These are available on the free tier — no subscription required. They're the operational backbone of the app.
Stores & Team
Add unlimited stores with full profiles. See every manager at a glance with health indicators, visit cadence, open commitments, birthdays, anniversaries, and last meeting date.
Commitment Tracking
Track every promise with an owner, a deadline, and a store assignment. Apply commitments across all stores at once. Overdue items get flagged. Your follow-through rate is one of the strongest signals of your credibility as a leader — and OperatorOS makes sure nothing slips through the cracks.
KPI Dashboards
Track weekly and monthly metrics with goal tracking. Upload your data via CSV and see performance at a glance. The web dashboard gives you a bigger canvas for store-level performance with sparkline charts and trend indicators.
Meeting Agendas & Topics
Build structured meeting agendas throughout the week. Add topics as they come up — categorized by type (general, weekly call, monthly review, 1:1). When meeting day arrives, you're never scrambling for talking points.
CarPlay & Proximity Alerts
Your store list lives on your car's display with one-tap navigation. Geofence-based proximity alerts notify you when you're near a store — helpful when you're in the area and want a quick drop-in. It's the kind of feature that only makes sense when the app is built by someone who spends their day driving between stores.
Home Screen Widget
See your commitment status at a glance without opening the app. The widget shows overdue items in red, upcoming in orange, and on-track in yellow. It's a small thing, but it keeps commitments visible throughout your day.
Data & Infrastructure
AI Connector (MCP Server)
This is the feature I'm most excited about. The AI Connector lets you use your OperatorOS data — stores, visits, commitments, KPIs, team info — with any AI platform that supports the Model Context Protocol. That means Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or any MCP-compatible client.
Ask Claude to analyze your commitment follow-through across stores. Ask ChatGPT to draft a performance summary for your regional manager. Ask Copilot to identify which stores need the most attention this week. Your field data becomes the foundation for any analysis you can imagine — and it's read-only and secured with OAuth 2.1.
Web Dashboard
The web companion app gives Pro subscribers a full desktop experience — stores, visits, KPIs, commitments, interviews, and meetings, all accessible from any browser. It syncs with your iOS app in real time. When you need a bigger screen for review or reporting, the web dashboard is there.
Offline Support & Cloud Sync
OperatorOS works without cell service. Record visits, add commitments, take notes — everything syncs automatically when you're back online. Your data lives on Firebase with user-scoped security rules, syncing across all your devices in real time.
What's In Beta Now
These features shipped recently and are available today, but we're actively refining them based on feedback:
Store Detail Performance Dashboard
Individual store pages now include sparkline charts and trend indicators for your KPI data. You can see at a glance whether a store is trending up or down on the metrics that matter to you — without switching to a separate analytics tool.
Soft-Delete & Recently Deleted
Accidentally delete a visit or commitment? No problem. Everything now goes to a Recently Deleted folder first, giving you a safety net. This applies to stores, visits, commitments, interviews, and meetings.
What's Coming Next
OperatorOS is shipping new features every week. The Android version is coming with full feature parity, and we're continuing to refine the AI features based on feedback from retail leaders across the country. If you have ideas, I want to hear them.
Pricing
OperatorOS is free to start with unlimited stores, visits, commitment tracking, KPI dashboards, CarPlay, and CSV import/export. Pro is $9.99/month or $99.99/year (save 17%) and unlocks all AI features plus the AI Connector and web dashboard. Every download includes a 7-day free trial of Pro — no credit card required.
No per-seat licenses. No enterprise contracts. No sales calls. It's your tool, on your phone, at a price that makes sense for an individual retail leader.
Built for the field, not the back office
OperatorOS is the app I wished I had when I started managing multiple stores. If you spend your days driving between locations, juggling commitments, and trying to stay sharp across your team — give it a try.
